
Dr. Susie Reiner is an industry and academic research scientist, writer, and educator with expertise in exercise physiology, human performance, and digital health. She is an Assistant Professor of Exercise and Sport Science at Seton Hall University, where she focuses on applied research and translating science into real-world clinical, performance, and industry applications.
Alongside her academic work, Dr. Reiner consults with fitness, sport, and wellness technology companies on research strategy, study design, data analysis, and evidence generation. She also develops science-driven content for both professional and consumer audiences, helping bridge the gap between research and practice.
Previously, she served as Head of Science at Aletha Health, where she led scientific strategy for an AI-driven musculoskeletal health platform, including clinical validation and product development support. She completed postdoctoral training at the University of Kentucky’s Sports Medicine Research Institute, leading federally funded research on injury risk and human performance in the fire service.
Dr. Reiner holds a PhD in Health Sciences (Human and Sport Performance) and an MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and holds multiple NSCA and NASM certifications. She is also active in professional service through committees within ACSM and NSCA.
